Specialties:
Anxiety
Adult children who grew up in emotionally immature, neglectful, reactive, or invalidating relationships or who felt/feel invisible, were not heard, blamed, and/or scapegoated in their families or who are still dealing with this. Maybe you feel like you have always had to be there for your family's emotions/needs over your own or constantly work to achieve praise, attention, and acknoweldgement. Perhaps you are still navigating these relationships with your family as an adult and feel frustrated that you go back to that feeling of childhood roles and feelings time and time again even though you are an adult or maybe even have a family of your own. The patterns usually play out in our relationships and how we feel mentally, emotionally, and physically. You consistently feel guilt, shame, or blame if you speak your truth. Perhaps your voice is suppressed and has been for years and you don't feel heard. Or, you believe that if you strive to achieve, please, or be perfect you will finally feel enough for them. Maybe you have only felt acceptable if you go along with what others say and want or fear backlash if you push back. This may have affected your relationship with your self, your partner, friendships, children, or work place. You've put your emotional needs and self care on the back burner. I am here to support you and help you navigate through the grief that often comes with these dynamics and is often minimized and invalidated by society. It is time to free yourself and heal and you've come to the right place!
